CHINESE martial arts tour of Vietnam has been praised in the country. The
Chinese delegation included Shaolin Kung Fu masters as well as
exponents from
other martial arts schools. According
to Xinhau news, China, the success of the tour saw all walks of life
thrilled
at their performances. The
troupe all come from Henan Province. The 33-strong team toured the
country from
May 8th to 18th as part of a cultural exchange. Kang
Jie, head of the troupe, said: ""We hope that through this event, the
two countries and two peoples will get to know each other's culture
better,

Beside martial ats I am an honor roll student, with my best subject of choice being maths. As well as martial arts I love to ice skate and play soccer on the side. I got involved in martial arts after aunt introduced us to her BJJ gym where her fellow police officers trained in New Jersey. I loved it and wanted to keep going. The first match I had was at Naga in New Jersey where I was a white belt in 2010 and took second place. I kept on training and just got better as time passed. To prepare for up coming tournaments I just train like always and listen focus and learn off my instructors. "I repect my parents and like UFC fighters GSP, Ronda Rousey and the Diaz brothers. As for the future in martial arts I want to go pro and one day compete in the UFC. I also want to help children and teach BJJ when I become sensei Jacob. MMA FIGHTER STOPS BURGLAR AN MMA fighter has been hailed a hero after stopping a burglar and holding him to police arrived. Tim Johnson, of Lawton, Oklahoma, United States, stopped the burglar breaking into his home. He then performed a citizens' arrest after the burglar became violent, he said. "I let him think he was going to get up then I gave two shots, two really good shots to the ribs," Police

Fu movie superstar Jackie Chan is guest of honour at the Asian Film
summit at
the Toronto International Film Festival. The
festival is being held in the Autumn at the Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto,
Canada. Cameron
Bailey, artistic director of the TIFF, said in a statement: "As both a
key
launch pad for films in North America and home to huge audiences for
Asian
cinema, we think Toronto can be a prime meeting place for the Asian and
western
film industries." Jackie
has been involved in the movie industry for more than four decades
including as
an actor, fight choreographer, director and stuntman. The
TIFF event is being held from September 10th and will see members from
both
eastern and western film making coming together. The
festival itself runs from September 6th to the 16th. ************** A
SOUTH African martial arts instructor has won his libel case. The
coach, who is not being identified, was falsely accused of being a
paedophile,
a rapist and child molester by a rival instructor. The
libeled instructor, 52, from Pretoria, has been involved in Karate for
44
years. He
was defamed by Karate instructor Tshepo Maaga who did not defend the
action. Pretoria
High Court
awarded the defamed instructor R250,000
(£19,000) in damages. |
